Surrounded by four mountain ranges: the Catalina, Rincon, Santa Rita and Tucson Mountain’s, north, south, east and west respectively and over 200 hiking trails, Tucson has endless opportunities to get out and experience nature first-hand. Whether hiking in Saguaro National Park with a starting elevation of 2,180 feet or in the Catalina Mountains of the Coronado National Forest at 9,000 feet, you are a few steps or short drive away from access to great trails and beautiful views. 

ESC guided day hikes make excellent day trips for visitors staying in the Tucson area. Our Sabino Canyon hikes are a popular, half-day of hiking with access to multiple trails. For those seeking more adventure we offer several hikes around the Tucson Valley as well as hikes up into the Sky Islands with exploration of seven distinct biomes.
